Sales technology platforms and tools help dynamically deliver, support and measure training across a variety of platforms and create desired performance improvement among sales reps. Training technology can help a sales organization deliver performance improvement solutions more efficiently and in the just-in-time format reps need and want. Many training vendors have embedded learning directly into sales force automation (SFA) platforms (e.g. embedding account planning or opportunity management methodologies within an SFA to guide reps through the methodology). Learning management systems offer the ability to build, manage and track e-learning modules that reps can take at their convenience. Video-based platforms allow reps to consume training (e.g. watching a video of a presentation being delivered), record themselves (e.g. giving the presentation) and then submit the video to their manager or trainer for feedback and coaching.
